About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle Lepitre — a wife, mother, writer, former special educator, and faith-driven storyteller.
Writing has always been a dream of mine, but the journey to get here didn’t follow a straight line. After walking through a childhood shaped by hardship and learning to trust God’s voice through every twist and turn, I now know this calling was never just about writing—it was about redemption, purpose, and sharing His love.

With a background in special education and behavior analysis, I’ve spent years working with children, helping them grow and discover their unique strengths. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I worked closely with children with Autism, providing individualized support to help them thrive. Now, through my books, I aim to do the same—sharing stories that nurture faith, encourage curiosity, and remind young hearts that they are loved, special, and created with purpose.

My Writing & Mission

I write books that weave faith, learning, and storytelling together to create meaningful experiences for young readers. But for me, storytelling isn’t just creative work — it’s redemptive work.

As someone who grew up in deep brokenness and hardship, I know the power of a well-timed word, a message of hope, or a reminder that you are not forgotten. That’s why I write stories that plant tiny seeds of truth and hope in the hearts of children and families—reminders that they are loved, created with purpose, and never beyond God’s reach.

Whether through whimsical adventures, heartfelt lessons, or faith-inspired messages, my goal is to speak life into young hearts and help them discover the beauty of walking with God.

My calling is to make disciples through story—joyfully spreading the Word of God one page at a time.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19–20

How It Started

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to write books. But God led me down different paths—ones that were often difficult and uncertain.

When I was five, my father died of a heroin overdose. My mother struggled with meth and alcohol addiction for over 30 years. My twin sister and I grew up in deep instability—bouncing between drug houses, cars, tents, motels, and even the middle of the desert one night. At times, my mother believed the world was ending. Poverty, fear, and brokenness were all around us. And yet, even in those early years, I felt a quiet pull toward something more—a purpose beyond the pain.

Through every struggle, God was there—gently guiding me, even when I couldn’t fully see it. Over time, I learned to listen to His voice and trust His plan. The day after my 18th birthday, I was baptized— before marrying my husband, Michael. That moment marked a turning point: the beginning of a new life rooted in faith, love, and grace.

By His strength, I earned my GED, then a master’s degree. I became a special education teacher, then a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I co-founded AIM Clinics and helped open 29 autism centers across the Southeast before retiring early to follow the call God placed on my heart so long ago—to write.

Now, with a deep sense of calling, I’m stepping forward in faith—sharing stories that reflect His love, speak to young hearts, and remind readers that even in brokenness, God brings beauty, purpose, and hope.
