About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle Lepitre — a Christian children’s author, former special educator, and faith-driven storyteller helping children shine from the inside out.

Through faith-based picture books, reflection activities, family resources, and encouragement for parents and educators, I help children grow in faith, character, and confidence.

Through faith-filled stories and resources, I help children discover their God-given worth, purpose, hope, and identity while encouraging families to grow together in faith and character.

For nearly two decades, I served children and families through special education and applied behavior analysis. As a preschool special education teacher and later a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I worked closely with children and families, helping them learn, grow, and discover their unique strengths.

That same passion now guides my work as an author. Through books, reflection activities, family resources, and encouragement, I strive to help children know they are deeply loved, wonderfully made, and created with purpose.

I bring that same heart into every book I write. Each story is designed to encourage meaningful conversations, nurture faith, build character, and remind children that they are deeply loved, wonderfully made, and created with purpose. Many of my books also include reflection activities that help families continue the conversation long after the final page.

My goal is simple: to help children discover God’s love and shine from the inside out.

My Writing & Mission

I write faith-based books that weave faith, learning, storytelling, and reflection together to create meaningful experiences for young readers and their families. But for me, storytelling isn’t just creative work—it’s redemptive work.

As someone who grew up in deep brokenness and hardship, I know the power of a well-timed word, a message of hope, or a reminder that you are not forgotten. That’s why I write stories that plant tiny seeds of truth, faith, and hope in the hearts of children and families—reminders that they are loved, created with purpose, and never beyond God’s reach.

Whether through whimsical adventures, heartfelt lessons, faith-inspired messages, or guided reflection activities, my goal is to speak life into young hearts and help them discover the beauty of walking with God.

Every story I write is designed to continue beyond the final page. Through discussion questions, reflection activities, and family resources, I hope to help parents, grandparents, educators, homeschool families, and children’s ministry leaders create meaningful conversations that strengthen faith and character.

My calling is to make disciples through story—joyfully spreading the Word of God one page at a time.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:19–20

How It Started

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to write books. But God led me down different paths—ones that were often difficult and uncertain.

My childhood was marked by addiction, instability, poverty, and loss. When I was five, my father died of a heroin overdose, and my mother struggled with addiction for much of her life. My twin sister and I grew up in circumstances that were often unpredictable and challenging.

And yet, even in those early years, I felt a quiet pull toward something more—a purpose beyond the pain.

Through every struggle, God was there—gently guiding me, even when I couldn’t fully see it. Over time, I learned to listen to His voice and trust His plan. The day after my eighteenth birthday, I was baptized before marrying my husband, Michael. That moment marked a turning point—the beginning of a new life rooted in faith, love, and grace.

By His strength, I earned my GED, then a master’s degree. I became a special education teacher, later a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and eventually co-founded AIM Clinics, helping expand autism services across the Southeast. From approximately 2005–2023, I had the privilege of serving children and families through special education and applied behavior analysis.

Today, I’m following the calling God placed on my heart so many years ago—to write stories that reflect His love, encourage meaningful conversations, and help children discover that they are deeply loved, purposefully created, and never beyond God’s reach.

My story is a reminder that God can bring beauty from brokenness, purpose from pain, and hope from even the hardest circumstances.
